FAQ

Review these common questions on policies and procedures so you're prepared and in the know!

What are your rates?

My rates are discussed during booking - I work at flat all-day and half-day rates. I don't post this information online because I'd rather discuss it and quote you directly when we brainstorm your tattoo ideas. This is when we'll determine how many sessions we'll need, the timeline we can complete it in, and what plan works best for your schedule/finances. Total cost depends entirely on the placement, the final design, and your comfort during the tattoo.

Where are you located?

I am located at XSADFAMX tattoos in Orlando, Fl! The shop address is 448 S Alafaya Trail #3, Orlando, FL 32828

What kinds of services do you offer?

I work in all-day and half-day sessions - here's a break down of what to expect:

All-day Sessions

-Typically runs for approx. 8 hours (10am-6am)

Half-day Sessions

-Typically runs for approx. 4 hours

Project Tattoo Sessions

-Larger deposit, but locks all expected sessions for a project in the books. Best for sleeves, backpieces, torso pieces, etc...a schedule and timeline is set during booking and typically consists of multiple all-day sessions over a period of time.

Cover-up Tattoos

-Typically done in only all-day sessions and will run at a different rate than the standard rates based on location and complexity of the cover-up.

Do you only do Anime Tattoos?

I specialize in the style presented in my portfolio - this style works beautifully for anime tattoos, video game creatures and characters, and even for comic tattoos. I can also apply this style to many other subjects as well - so don't hesitate to ask!

Anime tattoos are the most common request I get for my style, but not the only subject matter I'll tackle. I'm a big nerd, so I love taking on things that we both can geek out about while we hammer out a cool tattoo! I want to be just as passionate and excited about your tattoo as you are!

Unfortunately, there are times when I just don't feel I am the right artist for your idea. It's never personal - it's simply because I want you to get the best out of choosing me for your ideas. In this case, I may recommend someone I personally know and trust who can do your idea beautifully!

How does the design process go?

Once we've brainstormed your goals for the tattoo, I use the information you provide and make it "skin-worthy"! I pay close attention to what details you request and the meaning you have behind the tattoo (if any). With this info, I research the subject to make sure I get all those details right, and I take time to try and capture it in a way that works best on skin and in the placement you've requested.

I never copy anything directly - all work is fully custom, and I never reuse designs. My drawing process is messy, but in the end I will have a clean fully rendered design ready the day you arrive!

I do not share designs before our session because I finalize it the night before so I can keep it fresh in mind, fresh in hand when we begin putting it to skin the next day. A few small changes are of course welcomed, but any complicated changes or full revisions will require a reschedule with a new deposit.

Do you have healed examples of your work?

Yes! I share video of healed tattoos in natural outdoor lighting and no filters on my Instagram stories. Check out the "Healed" story highlight beneath my Instagram Bio for a ton of examples! Give a follow to keep up and see more on a regular basis!

Do you allow or use numbing cream?

Unfortunately, I do not recommend numbing creams. In my experience, numbing creams have excessive risk for effects that are remarkably short-lived. Additionally, all those fancy creams marketed for tattoos and promising a "pain-free" experience fail to inform consumers of the potential risks, side effects, and even dangers of their products. In fact, not so long ago and large number of tattoo numbing cream brands came under the FDA's scrutiny due to illegal and dangerous levels of lidocaine in their products. Exceeding the legal doses of lidocaine can risk issues with your heart, blood pressure, and nervous system - all things we should strive to avoid aggravating.

Because of these risks, and because of my own experience with numbing creams, I do not recommend them and will not tattoo skin that has been prepped with numbing cream. This isn't because I believe in the old-school adage of "earning it", it is truly because I want the best possible outcome for your tattoo experience and heal. If this doesn't align with your expectations and needs, there are other artists who support the use of numbing creams.

With this being said, I do offer Bactine numbing spray during my tattoo sessions. It follows FDA guidelines for over-the-counter lidocaine concentration limits, and can provide the much needed relief when things get overly spicy. Of course, I recommend only 3 applications during the tattoo session for safety; after linework, during a midway break, and just before the final highlights at the end.

What should out-of-state travelers know?

For clients coming from out-of-state, I recommend planning the tattoo session for the end of your visit. If you plan on visiting theme parks, beaches, and other tourist destinations, you don't want to worry about your fresh tattoo - it's essentially an open wound! Save the tattoo session for the day before your departure back home.

Depending on how many sessions you have scheduled for your visit, please consider that all-day sessions typically start at 10am and end approx. around 6pm, but may go a little later. So with this in mind, I recommend planning a late flight so you have adequate time to get to the airport, through security, and to your gate with time to spare. Of course - if you are able- it's best to rest at a hotel, with family, or with friends, and then fly out the next day instead.

Additionally, be sure to read through my helpful tips on preparing for a tattoo session at my Tattoo Kaiju Blog! It offers great insight on what to bring. It's never a bad idea to review and prep for the Aftercare so you're all set!

What kind of ink do you use?

I primarily use Eternal Ink for color, and Allegory Ink for black.

Both ink brands are vegan, made in the USA, follow strict sterilization and FDA guidelines, and are free of heavy metals and other impurities.

What is a deposit - is it refundable?

A deposit is a promise that I can expect you for our tattoo session date! It locks your spot in, and insures that both of us are committed to this badass tattoo. It is not an additional fee as it will be deducted from the quoted price of your tattoo at the end of the session or towards the end of a project if you scheduled multiple sessions. Deposits are non-refundable, non-transferrable, and are forfeit if you no-call/no-show or cancel your appointment.

For more info on my deposit policies, check the FAQ: Important Gobbledgook in my Booking Form.

How can I protect my tattoos after the heal?

By always remembering that the sun is your tattoo's worst enemy and that moisturizing is a must for happy and healthy skin. Check out my tips for protecting your tattoos once they're healed on my aftercare page!

What is a good tip?

Honestly - a tip is complementary, not expected, nor required! It's ultimately up to you and what you consider the service to be worth should you decide to tip in the first place. My pricing does not include tipping. Tipping also doesn't have to be monetary, some opt to get gifts like food, figures, collectibles, ect...so don't feel pressured! No matter what, I appreciate you trusting me to make cool artwork, and it's an honor that you chose to carry my work for a lifetime.

Can I pay for my tattoo in advance?

No - while I super appreciate you considering this, I'd rather you hold on to your money in case you have dire need of it! The only pre-payment I accept is the deposit; the rest will be due at the end of the tattoo session. I accept cash, venmo, or cashapp payments.
